This Privacy Policy explains how Dosie ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use it to track GLP-1 medication injections and related health metrics. By using Dosie you agree to the practices described below.
Dosie is designed to be private by default. The health information you enter, including injection records, medication names, doses, injection sites, pain ratings, notes, weight entries, and your dosing schedule, is stored locally on your device. We do not operate a server that collects, transmits, or stores this personal health data, and we cannot read the entries you create.
If your device platform provides private cloud sync or backup (for example, Apple iCloud/CloudKit or your operating system's standard backup), your Dosie data may be synced or backed up through that service so it is available on your other devices and recoverable. That data is governed by your device platform's privacy terms and is encrypted in transit and at rest by the platform. We do not have access to those backups.
To operate and improve the app, Dosie uses a small number of reputable third-party services. These services may process limited technical or usage data, but they are not used to identify you personally and we do not send them your individual health entries: • Firebase Remote Config (Google) — delivers feature flags and configuration so we can adjust the app without an update. • Firebase Analytics (Google) — collects aggregated, anonymized usage and event data (such as which screens are opened) to help us understand how the app is used and improve it. • Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — collects crash reports and diagnostic information (such as device model, OS version, and a stack trace) so we can find and fix stability problems. • RevenueCat — manages in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat and the relevant app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) process the information needed to validate and restore your purchase, such as an anonymous app user ID and store receipt. We never receive or store your full payment card details. Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your individual health entries with advertisers or data brokers. We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, address, or date of birth to use the core tracking features.
You remain in control of your data. You can export your history to a file from within the app to share or archive it, and you can delete your entries at any time. Deleting the app from your device removes the locally stored data on that device; data held by your platform's backup or sync service is removed according to that platform's rules.
Dosie is not directed to children and is intended for use by adults managing their own prescribed medication. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including relying on your device's built-in security and the encryption provided by the platform and third-party services listed above. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Dosie is a personal tracking tool only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and the information in the app is not a substitute for the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional. Always consult your clinician before making any decision about your medication or health.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version in the app and at the hosted link. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
